Equation Staffing Solutions is recruiting experienced Traffic Control/ Flaggers for the 2026 construction season.
We are seeking reliable, and safety-focused individuals to support construction and infrastructure projects throughout Calgary and surrounding areas. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety of construction crews, motorists, and pedestrians while maintaining efficient traffic flow through active work zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic safely around construction and maintenance zones using standardized hand signals and flagging equipment
  • Ensure compliance with traffic control plans and all site safety protocols
  • Communicate clearly with construction crews, motorists, and pedestrians to prevent accidents and maintain smooth traffic flow
  • Monitor work zones for potential hazards and report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately
  • Coordinate with crews during paving operations and heavy equipment movement to maintain safe traffic patterns
  • Maintaining safe and organized work zones throughout the project

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Traffic Control Person / Flagger is required
  • Valid Traffic Control / Flagger Certification preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
