Description
FLAGGER
We are seeking experienced, committed, and career-minded Flaggers to join our growing team in the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area. 
The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing vehicles around construction sites. You will also be responsible for helping to place barricades, signboards, and traffic cones. You will be a team player who is highly motivated with a strong work ethic and desires to be part of a skilled construction team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides for the safe movement of traffic as specified by project plans
Maintain the traffic flow around construction sites 
Directing vehicles as and when required
Setting up traffic cones and signs around the job site.
Communicating with Traffic Control Manager regarding any traffic concerns, if any.
Removing barricades, traffic cones, and signboards after completion of work.
Informing construction crew regarding any traffic issues.
Communicating efficiently with the other flaggers via handheld devices.
Use hand signals and signs to direct traffic 
Adhere to all rules and regulations of ATSSA and the company. 
Other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
ATSSA Flagger Certification
Ability to read and understand instructions and specifications to determine work activities
Comply with municipality requirements, specifications, safety standards, and company policies.
Communicate with MOT Managers and Foreman
Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Screen
SALARY/HOURLY EXEMPTION:
Full-Time, Non-Exempt Position
Salary based on knowledge and experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions that can include extreme cold and heat.
The work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that are typically associated with a construction project.
Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
WORKING HOURS/EXPECTATIONS:
Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week, including weekend assignments as required
Ability to workdays, nights, or weekends as needed
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch on all different types of terrain.
Frequent bending, twisting, and standing
The employee is also regularly required to talk, hear, or smell and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 75 pounds on occasions.
Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions
EDUCATION:
High school or an equivalent is preferred 
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS:
ATSSA Flagger Certification 
EXPERIENCE:
At least one year of Flagger experience
