Job description

General Definition and Conditions of Work YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL OFFICIAL The Carrboro Recreation, Parks, & Cultural Resources Department is seeking qualified individuals to officiate Youth Flag Football games. Candidates with previous experience are preferred, but experience is not required. Flag Football playing or coaching experience and sound football rules knowledge is highly desirable.

Play is governed by local league rules and NFL Flag rules. Training will be provided prior to the season. Flag Football games are primarily played on Friday evenings with occasional weeknight games from September through late October.

Individuals hired may also have the potential to officiate other league play offered during the year (such as Youth Basketball and Baseball). Age group is 9-12. Flexible scheduling exists with officials being assigned 2-4 games per week.
