Capital Fixed Income Investors (CFII), part of the Capital Group Companies, has been managing fixed-income strategies since 1973 and has over $500bn in assets under management. We have an experienced team of more than 30 Fixed Income Traders in Los Angeles, London, New York and Singapore.
CFII is seeking an experienced trader with deep understanding of the rates market, trading a wide variety of bonds and derivative instruments in a high-calibre environment. The successful candidate will have proven success in trading, a collaborative nature, and excellent communication skills. This position will be based in Los Angeles or New York.
As a Rates Trader, you will contribute to the team in the following ways:
  • Execute trades and identify trading strategies and investment opportunities across US interest rate products, including government bonds, interest rate swaps, futures and options.

  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, with investment group colleagues and sell-side counterparties

  • Communicate regularly with Capital's global trading desks to ensure a global view on bond markets

  • Collaborate with Capital's investment professionals worldwide to discuss market trends and investment strategies

  • Liaise with Investment Operations and other fixed income business units to maintain order flow integrity, monitor risk and improve communication

  • Perform additional responsibilities and undertake special projects as assigned
