Role Description:
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Core Equity team as a Portfolio Manager/Senior Equity Analyst covering Healthcare. The Core Equity team is an 8-person dedicated team in Philadelphia, managing US Small Cap Core, SMID Cap Core, and Large Cap ESG Strategies in mutual funds and separate account vehicles.
In this role, you will:
  • Work closely with the team's CIO to build a robust Healthcare portfolio designed to produce excellent risk-adjusted returns across multiple products.
  • Collaborate on investment recommendations and support decision-making and client service efforts.
  • Conduct fundamental analysis of equities including researching industries and interviewing company management teams in an effort to track overall economic and corporate trends.
  • Build financial models to analyze company revenue, cash flows, and earnings and create value comparison and price targets.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
  • Bachelor 's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field with a minimum of 10 years' experience in relevant Healthcare research.
  • Extensive experience in analyzing companies within the Healthcare sector.
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in FactSet.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • High level of personal and professional integrity with a passion for markets and investing.
  • CFA preferred
  • This is an in-person role based in Nomura's Philadelphia office.
