The Registered Private Client Associate (RPCA) - Branch Support Specialist serves as a centralized resource within the Private Client Group, providing temporary administrative, operational, client service, and sales support to Financial Advisors and branch teams across the firm during planned and unplanned PCA absences.
This role is based at Janney's Home Office in Philadelphia and is not permanently assigned to a specific branch, Financial Advisor, or team. The Branch Support Specialist must quickly adapt to varying business practices, client service models, and team structures while maintaining a high standard of service, operational accuracy, and regulatory compliance. The individual serves as a business continuity resource, ensuring seamless support for Financial Advisors and clients during staffing transitions, leaves of absence, and other short-term coverage needs.
The successful candidate demonstrates exceptional flexibility, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate independently in unfamiliar environments while building productive relationships with branch associates and home office departments.
What you are good at:
Adaptability - Quickly adjusts to different branch environments, advisor practices, technologies, and client service models while maintaining a high level of effectiveness.
Client Service Excellence - Delivers responsive, professional, and personalized service that supports positive client experiences and strong advisor-client relationships.
Relationship Building - Establishes credibility and productive working relationships with Financial Advisors, branch associates, clients, and home office partners.
Problem Solving - Identifies issues, evaluates options, and implements practical solutions while maintaining compliance and service standards.
Organization and Prioritization - Effectively manages multiple assignments, competing deadlines, and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Regulatory and Operational Excellence - Demonstrates strong attention to detail and consistently follows firm policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
What you have:
  • Series 7, 63 and 65, or 66
  • 3 years' experience as a Private Client Associate
  • Must be able to work a hybrid schedule - three days per week in the Philadelphia, PA office
  • Must be available for ad-hoc travel.
  • High School diploma; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
