Job description

Position Summary
The Consultant Relations Associate supports Senior Relationship Managers, and Guggenheim's business development efforts more broadly, by assisting the cultivation and deepening of relationships with investment management consultants. Core day-to-day responsibilities include preparing briefing materials, coordinating follow-up actions, ensuring the timely resolution of consultant inquiries by engaging coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining all data the CRM system. This role is located in our Chicago office, full-time.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and evolution of the consultant relations function by capturing, consolidating, and maintaining proprietary data on consultant firms, key personnel, coverage assignments, and related investor activity
  • Help develop and execute strategic coverage plans for targeted consultant firms by conducting research, tracking deliverables, and ensuring timely completion of action items
  • Maintain and update the consultant pipeline, assisting with prioritization from both a consultant firm and strategy/product perspective
  • Support the expansion of consultant coverage by coordinating outreach, preparing presentation materials, and assisting efforts to strengthen relationships and achieve ratings that reflect investment performance
  • Track and compile data on the effectiveness of consultant relations efforts, preparing reports, metrics, and summaries for senior management review
  • Gather and organize market intelligence and product feedback from consultant interactions, supporting internal communication to business development and investment management teams to inform competitive analysis and product positioning
  • Ensure timely resolution of consultant inquiries by triaging requests, coordinating responses across internal teams, and proactively managing communications regarding firm updates, product changes, and portfolio developments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date consultant profile information in Salesforce, including contact details, firm structures, meeting notes, and engagement history
  • Prepare materials for consultant due diligence meetings, conferences, and events, including presentations, fact sheets, performance packages, RFPs, RFIs, and due diligence questionnaires
  • Coordinate with investment, RFP, marketing, compliance, and product teams to ensure consultant-facing materials are current, accurate, and aligned with consultant evaluation frameworks
  • Monitor consultant databases and rating platforms for updates to Guggenheim's profiles, flagging changes and coordinating updates with internal stakeholders

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business management, marketing, communications, or other relevant disciplines
  • 3-5 years of experience in a client relationship-oriented role within the investment industry
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Hands-on experience with CRM's

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of relevant working experience in fixed income, asset management, or private equity supporting relationship managers, sales executives, or product development
  • Strong investment and financial analytical capabilities and investment reporting experience
  • Experience of Salesforce a plus
  • Team player with positive attitude and proactive approach to work
  • Able to develop a strong internal/external network, to build relationships, and collaborate with professionals around the organization
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to get involved in more challenging projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem-solving ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including preparation and delivery of presentations
  • Self-motivated individual with a high level of attention to detail

Salary Range
Annual base salary between
$145,000.00-$150,000.00
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
