A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Senior Private Client Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, fiduciaries, and family offices on sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer, tax, and trust administration matters.

Ideal Background

• 6+ years of private client, trusts & estates, or wealth planning experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience representing high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, executives, family offices, and fiduciaries

• Experience drafting sophisticated estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced wealth transfer strategies

• Experience advising clients regarding estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer, and income tax planning

• Experience with business succession planning, charitable planning, and family wealth preservation strategies

• Experience advising trustees, executors, and beneficiaries regarding trust and estate administration

• Experience working with closely held businesses, family-owned enterprises, and complex asset structures is preferred

• Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and client counseling skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated client relationships and planning matters

• Excellent academic credentials

• LL.M. in Taxation is a plus

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
