Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Tax & Estate Planning Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading international law firm in Chicago.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in a sophisticated tax, estate planning, wealth transfer, and private client practice advising high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, executives, and other private clients on complex planning matters.

Ideal Background

2–6 years of tax, estate planning, trusts and estates, or related private client experience

• Experience developing sophisticated estate, gift, and wealth transfer planning strategies

• Experience advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and executives

• Experience drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, family entity documents, and other sophisticated estate planning instruments

• Experience with gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning

• Experience advising clients regarding trust administration, estate administration, and tax-efficient wealth transfers

• Experience with business succession planning, family-owned businesses, charitable planning, or closely held entities is a plus

• Familiarity with federal and state tax considerations affecting sophisticated estate plans

LL.M. in Taxation is a plus

• Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent client service and communication skills

• Ability to manage sensitive and sophisticated client matters with discretion

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
