Information Security Assurance Analyst

Summary:
Great River Energy is seeking an experienced Information Security Assurance Analyst to support and strengthen our cybersecurity governance, compliance, and risk management programs. In this role, you'll help protect critical systems and information assets, support regulatory compliance efforts, and contribute to the security and reliability of the electric grid.
Total Rewards:
A typical starting range for this position is $105,000 - $144,000 annually. We offer market competitive base pay and adjust our offer accordingly based upon the value of the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Support and enhance Great River Energy's information security and compliance programs.
• Partner with business and technology teams to develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls.
• Coordinate compliance activities related to NERC CIP, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and other regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits, risk assessments, and remediation efforts.
• Perform qualitative assessments of security procedures related to systems, access controls, projects, and third-party vendors.
• Assist with cybersecurity awareness, business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response activities.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen security controls and reduce organizational risk.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, OR associate degree/technical training and 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in cybersecurity, information security governance, risk management, compliance, IT auditing, or related areas.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, regulatory compliance requirements, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Preferred Qualifications:
• CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or similar certification.
• Experience with NERC CIP compliance, NIST/ISO standards, business continuity, or disaster recovery.
• Experience in the electric utility, energy, or other highly regulated industries.
