Licensed Practical Nurse: Deliver licensed practical nursing (LPN) care within the LPN scope of practice, as defined by the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, for cognitively and physically disabled residents. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to promote the well-being, health and safety of residents in a person centered, long term care environment. The night hours for this position are 10:30pm-7:00am.
Minimum Qualifications: Licensed in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse, in good standing. Ability to communicate effectively, follow oral and written instructions and write legible notes.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a long term care environment.
Physical Requirements: Perform a variety of movements throughout the day such as walking, standing, sitting, bending, twisting, stooping, lifting, carrying, reaching, grasping, pushing and pulling.
Additional Requirements: This position requires successful completion of the following:
  • A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check will be conducted on all finalists for this position. Finalists must pass the DHS background check.
  • Finalists will be required to pass a job-related pre-employment physical.
  • Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment.
  • Employment reference checks will be conducted on all finalists. This may include a review of documentation related to job performance and contact with the applicant's former employer(s).
