Job description

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hasan opening in the Enrollment Management Department for an Admissions AssociateDirector.  The ideal candidate will becommitted to enriching the lives of students and building a strong community ofscholars on campus. We have been ranked No.1 among U.S. engineering colleges by the U.S. News & World Report BestColleges Guide for the last 27 consecutive years.

As an Admissions Associate Director,you will serve as a regional representative, perform outreach and engagementwith a designated geographic area (including Dallas, Texas and surroundingvicinity, Houston, Texas and surrounding vicinity; Austin, Texas andsurrounding vicinity; and Fort Worth, Texas and surrounding vicinity). You willwork with and build strong relationships with prospective students, families,schools, school counselors, alumni, and community-based organizations by planningrecruitment activities. You will represent the institution to external marketsand ensure representation of institutional strengths is included inpresentations and other communications. Additionally, you will join Dallas/FortWorth Admissions Regional Network (DARN) and be an active member, which includes living in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Qualified candidates will hold abachelor's degree and four to five years of experience in a private institutionwith college admissions. Strong analytical and project/process managementskills are necessary. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communicationskills are essential. Must be able to speak and interact effectively withalumni, students, faculty, staff, and prospective students and their familiesfrom many cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. The ability to read andinterpret documents like school transcripts and procedure manuals is required.The ability to write routine reports andcorrespondence is necessary. Knowledge of database, spreadsheet, and wordprocessing (Microsoft Office) is required.

In addition to the abovequalifications, preferred candidates will have a master's degree and five yearsof experience in a private institution with diversity/multicultural affairs orcollege admissions. Preferred candidates will also have knowledge ofengineering. Experience with various types of social media is preferred.

Salary range is 60,000- 75,000. Salary is competitive. A higher salary may be negotiated based onexperience and qualifications.
