We're seeking a high-energy Part-Time Fitness Trainer to join our onsite Health Center in Ridgefield, CT (20 hours/week) .

What You'll Do
  • Delivers safe and effective one-on-one or small group personal training sessions and creates customized programs tailored to the participant(s).
  • Provides exercise leadership expertise according to the latest American College of Sports Medicine, Exercise Testing and Prescription guidelines.
  • Engages members regularly with fitness-based guidance and support while delivering platinum experience.
  • Performs sub floor coverage or assists with specialty programs as needed.
  • Teach multiple group exercise classes each week
  • May require other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring
  • Personal Training certification from nationally recognized accredited organization (e.g. NCCA, ACSM, NASM, NSCA, etc.) required upon hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in exercise science or a combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or Basic Life Support for community/lay responder, along with First Aid certification that includes hands-on skills evaluation required.
  • Group Exercise Primary certification from nationally recognized organization (e.g. AFAA, ACE, IDEA) preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of education in the field of exercise science or a related field and at least two years' experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in and ability to perform fitness assessments including resting and exercise blood pressure and heart rate, body composition using skin fold calipers, muscular strength and endurance testing, sub maximal cycle testing preferred.
