Buck & Rider is looking for Experienced Fishmongers to join our elite team and support our upcoming growth!

Buck & Rider is a Seafood Eatery and Oyster Bar. Our seafood-centric restaurant focuses on a fun vibe, youthful attitude, and clean recipe lineup of food and drinks. Everything is fresh, from the raw bar to the vegetables, and locally driven. Our van drivers pick up the fresh fish, directly from Sky Harbor airport and distribute it amongst our three locations: Arcadia, North Scottsdale, and Gilbert! You will work in one of Phoenixs most acclaimed restaurants!

As an Experienced Fishmonger at Buck & Rider, you will play a key role in receiving, inspecting, and fabricating the highest-quality seafood in a fast-paced, refined environment. We're looking for detail-driven professionals who take pride in precision, cleanliness, and maintaining the integrity of our world-class seafood program.

Day in the Life:
Receive and inspect fresh seafood deliveries to ensure quality, freshness, and proper temperature control.
Break down whole fish and seafood including scaling, filleting, trimming, deboning, portioning, and preparing cuts according to company standards.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the fish cutting and storage areas at all times.
Ensure proper labeling, rotation, and storage of all seafood products.
Uphold food safety standards, including proper holding temperatures, sanitation procedures, and company safety guidelines.
Collaborate effectively with chefs, kitchen leadership, and team members to support daily service needs.
Follow direction from management and maintain endurance for long periods on your feet in a cold, fast-paced environment.

Prior experience as a fishmonger, seafood butcher, or similar role in a high-volume seafood environment

Strong knowledge of whole fish breakdown, shellfish handling, and seafood quality identification

Ability to follow company standards and maintain consistency in cuts and portions

Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.

Must possess or be able to obtain valid Food Handlers card.

Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
