To thrive as a Fish Farm Worker, you need knowledge of aquaculture practices, fish biology, and basic water quality management, often supported by a high school diploma or relevant vocational training. Experience with water testing equipment, feeding systems, and, in some cases, certification in aquaculture or safe food handling is valuable. Attention to detail, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities are important soft skills for identifying issues early and ensuring operations run smoothly. These competencies support sustainable fish production, healthy stock, and efficient farm operations.
A Fish Farm job involves breeding, raising, and harvesting fish for consumption, research, or stocking lakes and ponds. Workers maintain water quality, feed fish, monitor health, and manage equipment. Duties may also include cleaning tanks, sorting fish, and preventing disease. The job can be physically demanding and requires knowledge of aquatic life and farm operations.
Fish farm workers often encounter fluctuating weather conditions, maintaining optimal water quality, and preventing disease outbreaks among fish stock. The role requires vigilance, as problems with equipment, water parameters, or fish health can arise unexpectedly and require immediate attention. Team collaboration is essential for managing large-scale feeding, harvesting, and cleaning tasks, especially during peak seasons. Being adaptable and proactive helps ensure a productive and healthy environment for both the fish and farm staff.

About us
We're a gorgeous lakeside farm-to-table supper club on the water in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin — a place that honors the traditions people love about a Wisconsin supper club while sourcing seriously from local farms. Think relish trays and brandy old fashioneds, a Friday fish fry people plan their week around, and a seasonal menu built on what's actually growing and being raised nearby. Our rhythm follows the lake: busy, high-energy summers and a more intentional pace in the off-season.
We're looking for a General Manager to run the house — someone who can hold both sides of this at once: the warmth and ritual of a classic supper club, and the standards of a modern, ingredient-driven kitchen.
