Job description

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with minimum supervision.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions unless the accommodation(s) would result in an undue hardship to the company.  The duties and responsibilities regularly performed for this position are:

  • Check and confirm the numbers and parts numbers against data sheets.
  • Check that all operations have been performed on traveler before sending to Final Inspection.
  • Visually check entire parts.
  • Dimensionally check parts against blueprint requirements, using tools and gauges.
  • Check incoming parts and paperwork.
  • Fill out FAA required tags for repaired parts.
  • Vibropeen the identifying required information on parts which are repaired.
  • Able to read and interpret complex blueprints. 
  • Knowledge of machine shop practice. 
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and records. 
  • Maintain high standard of housekeeping in work area. 
  • Able to use shop mathematics, including decimals and trigonometry. 
  • Able to comprehend, interpret and follow directions, both written and oral, as generated by the company. 
  • Able to interpret and follow methods and process sheets. 
  • Proficient in blueprint reading.
  • Must be flexible to work shift or hours required.
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Follow all safety and environmental procedures.
  • Effectively assist and train others of lesser skill and/or experience.
