Job description

Quicksilver Express Courier is an on-demand delivery company looking to hire a full time Logistics Coordinator. This is not a call center position.

Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Understand and use mapping programs and internal applications to accurately and efficiently assign work to drivers in multiple types of vehicles, based on location, delivery time frames, vehicle specifications & current workload
  • Coordinate multiple (15-20+) drivers simultaneously to complete 50-100+ expedited deliveries per workday; planning pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed
  • Continually analyze drivers and deliveries as situations change; provide alternative options for when plan A is disrupted.
  • Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, Hours of Service Guidelines, including monitoring of Drivers Logs using ELD software.
  • Provide accurate and professional customer service.
  • Incoming order entry via phone, email, or web.
  • Outbound calls to customers with delivery status.
  • Provide problem resolution for customers and drivers.
  • Accurate and complete documentation of any and all issues.
  • Coach new drivers as part of their on-the-job training, providing additional instruction and guidance
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Strong knowledge of the metro and surrounding areas
  • Transportation Dispatch experience in freight industry
  • Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Superior communication skills to quickly relay concise, detailed information to drivers, customers and fellow office team members.
  • Ability to identify driver, customer & support staff errors & implement corrective action in a timely fashion.
  • Background experience in a customer service environment with problem resolution skills
