In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care approaches to address clients' emotional and behavioral issues.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s specific needs and circumstances.
• Guide clients in the development of practical coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and trauma-related responses.
• Document client progress meticulously using our user-friendly digital documentation system, ensuring records are up-to-date and easily accessible.
• Engage in regular supervision and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and stay abreast of industry best practices.

Your work will primarily focus on first responders facing a range of mental health issues, including PTSD, anxiety disorders, and depression stemming from the high-pressure environments they operate in. The clinic's clients may come from diverse backgrounds, necessitating a culturally sensitive and individualized approach to therapy.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is essential.
• An active and unrestricted licensure (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) in California is required to ensure compliance with state regulations.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience post-graduation, although those with three or more years will find their application particularly competitive.
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills with a proven ability to operate independently and efficiently manage your calendar.
• Familiarity with digital documentation tools and telehealth platforms is crucial for maintaining service quality and client engagement.

While two years of experience is the minimum requirement, candidates with a background in trauma-informed care, experience with first responders, or a comprehensive understanding of crisis intervention strategies will be especially valued.
