First Orion is seeking a skilled Cloud & DevOps Engineer to own the reliability, scalability, and delivery infrastructure that gets code from developer machines to production safely, and keeps it running there. You'll have full decision authority over how infrastructure is provisioned, how services get to production, and what reliability looks like.What you’ll be doing:Infrastructure & CloudProvision and manage all AWS resources via Terraform (EKS, VPC, DynamoDB, SQS, Kinesis, S3, IAM, KMS, CloudFront)EKS cluster lifecycle (upgrades, node management, Karpenter tuning)Networking: VPCs, subnets, transit gateway routes, security groups, VPC endpointsKubernetes & GitOpsHelm chart authoring and maintenanceArgoCD application definitions and sync policiesHorizontal Pod Autoscaling, ingress controllers (Traefik), TLS (cert-manager), DNS (externaldns)CI/CD & DeliveryBitbucket Pipelines structure, step definitions, deployment gatesDeployment automation scripts and OIDC-based pipeline authentication to AWSDockerfile optimization (multi-stage builds, layer caching, base image selection)ObservabilityOpenTelemetry collector deployment and New Relic integrationDefine instrumentation standards for developersOwn dashboards, build, maintain, and iterate on what's monitoredSecurity & ReliabilityCapacity planning, multi-region architecture, failover strategy, and disaster recoveryWhat you’ll need:Strong Terraform and AWS experience (EKS, IAM, networking, data stores)Kubernetes expertise (Helm, autoscaling, ingress, secrets management)CI/CD pipeline design and automationObservability stack experience (OpenTelemetry, New Relic or similar)Container optimization and security best practicesCollaborative mindset, you’ll work closely with developers to set and enforce platform standardsCompany Benefits:Balancing the work-life flow is key to health and happiness!
