Join Our Team as a Case Manager for our Nassau Child Advocacy Center!

Are you passionate about supporting the Youth population, and making a real difference in their lives? EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 120 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Case Manager to join the Nassau Child Advocacy Center.

Wage: $27 to $30 per hour
Schedule: 9AM-5PM, Monday- Friday with evenings and weekends as needed

The EAC Nassau County Child Advocacy Center located in Bethpage, NY provides for children a safe and respectful response to situations involving allegations of sex crimes. When assigned, the Case Manager is responsible to provide short and long term, trauma informed, case management and direct services for minor victims sexual abuse and their non offending family members.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conduct intake assessments to support the needs of victims and caregivers and develop individualized service plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for families, helping them navigate the investigative, medical, mental health, and legal processes.
  • Facilitate referrals to community-based services, including mental health counseling, medical care, victim compensation, and other supports.
  • Offer crisis intervention, emotional support, and psychoeducation regarding trauma and the impact of abuse.
  • Participate in MDT case review meetings to coordinate care and share updates.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to trauma, child abuse, and victim advocacy to uphold best practices in service delivery.
  • Assist with court preparation, prepare court reports as needed and provide transportation and accompaniment to court when required
  • Document in the CAC NYSCA database the services provided to the client to ensure accurate case records are maintained.
  • Collaborate with the OVS Vocational Rehabilitation Unit and the NY Civil Legal Network
  • Assist with applying for public benefits, employment, medical care, return of personal property and short- and long-term coordination of such services.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly statistical and annual reports as required by funding source.
  • Attend workshops, trainings and ongoing professional development related to trauma, child abuse, and victim advocacy
  • Participate in community meetings, agency presentations, and related events.
  • Perform all other relevant duties as determined by Supervision and EAC NETWORK Administration.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, a degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Forensic Psychology, Behavioral Health or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as Google Drive, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish spoken and written fluency is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have access to automobile and possess valid NYS driver’s license
