JOB TITLE: Mechanical Designer Engineer Co-Op
REPORTS TO: Manager, Mechanical Engineering
JOB STATUS: Full Time
FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:
The Mechanical Engineer Co-Op is responsible for assisting in the creating of mechanical engineering drawings and designs specific to the parcel industry. The Mechanical Designer Engineer Co-Op works under the day-to-day direction of the Principal Engineer and interfaces with other engineering staff to ensure designs are functional, efficient and safe.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
โ€ข Assists in producing mechanical installation drawings for parcel handling projects.
โ€ข Collaborate with project teams to ensure consistent design practices.
โ€ข Assists in the preparing AutoCAD drawings sets for permits, installation and as-built conditions.
โ€ข Other responsibilities as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
โ€ข Office primarily, with occasional field visits.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

WORK SCHEDULE:
This position works in office. General office hours are M-F, 7a-4p or 8a-5p. Working hours may vary to meet project requirements.

Requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
