Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Hearth Professional to join our team! In this role, you will perform diagnostics, service, and installation of fireplaces both wood and Gas in residential and light commercial environments. 

You are a licensed NFI Master Hearth Professional with a commitment to quality in all the work you do. A team player who is comfortable working independently, you love the feeling of a job well done and take pride in completing customer jobs with efficiency. A positive attitude is a must! 

This position installs and maintains gas, wood, stoves, fireplaces and inserts for all customers.  Fireplace Installation technicians work independently at all job sites to ensure install or repair completion and customer satisfaction.  

Major Responsibilities
  • Self -manage the following on all job sites:  installation, maintenance and testing tasks as required.
  • Unload and load materials and equipment on/off trucks and in/out of job sites on a regular basis. These products include but are not limited to the following:  gas, and wood freestanding and insert units.
  • Communicate in detail with Service Coordinators and Hearth Category Management.
  • Possess ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service fireplace equipment and demonstrate expert understanding of clearance and proper installation techniques and NFI standards and requirements.
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems with products in an efficient and timely manner to insure “One Visit One Fix” goal: Ensuring that the installed product is fully functional.
  • Installation technician must use mechanical assistance when physical methods are not practical or request and schedule assistance through the service coordinator.
  • Safely climb and work off ladders.
  • Must acquire and maintain NFI Specialist Certification in pellet, wood and gas. Must also complete ongoing manufacturer training.
  • Possess a complete understanding of all manufacturers’ install requirements and venting clearances.
  • Follow company field procedures and protocols at all times.
  • Provide daily detailed Installation reports.
  • Abide by company non-solicitation agreement.
  • Report any misuse of company time and monies in order to protect company assets.
  • Maintain parts and equipment at the warehouse and in trucks at all times. Communicate parts requirements in a timely manner to the Service Coordinator and Category Manager to ensure order fulfillment. 
  • Build positive relationships with customers at all times.
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe manner at all times. 
  • Track and organize vehicle maintenance as needed and required. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned
