Staff Accountant at Twin City Fireplace & Stone Co

The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Maintain the accuracy of subledgers.

· Reconcile bank accounts, debt statements, credit accounts.

· Prepare cash disbursements and maintain vendor accounts.

· Purchasing and assistant with customer collections

· Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.

· Organize and maintain electronic document storage.

· Document new procedures with SOP’s.

· Create and maintain monthly close checklists.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Knowledge of general financial accounting and to generally accepted accounting principles.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.

Education and Experience:

· AA degree in Accounting, or related field, required.

· At least two years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
