To thrive as a Firefighter Driver Operator, you need a solid background in fire science, vehicle operations, and emergency response, typically supported by completion of firefighter training and a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Proficiency with fire apparatus, pumping systems, radio communications, and incident command software is essential.
