JOB OVERVIEW

The Digital Asset Custody Operations Specialist will be responsible for executing and supporting daily custody operational processes across transaction processing, account management, and reconciliations, with a specialized focus on cryptocurrency and digital asset services. This role requires a strong foundation in cryptocurrency operations, blockchain networks, and custody solutions. The specialist will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all operational activities while supporting the Company's institutional-grade custody platform.

Having experience in institutional digital asset custody technologies such as Ledger and Fireblocks will be considered a differentiated level of experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Custody Operations: Support the safekeeping and transfer of digital assets, ensuring secure custody processes and compliance with policies.

  • Trading Support: Assist with settlement and reconciliation of cryptocurrency trades across multiple exchanges and liquidity providers.

  • Daily Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations of cryptocurrency balances across internal systems, core platforms, and external liquidity providers.

  • Core Platform Entries: Post and validate journal entries, ensuring proper accounting treatment across fiat and crypto transactions.

  • Blockchain Monitoring: Track and validate on-chain transactions, including wallet transfers, trading settlements, and custody activity.

  • Account Management: Support the opening, maintenance, and servicing of client accounts, including both fiat and digital asset accounts.

  • Risk & Compliance Collaboration: Partner with the Risk and Compliance Team to ensure transaction monitoring, AML/KYC checks, and regulatory reporting requirements are met.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend enhancements to operational workflows, controls, and system efficiencies.

  • Reporting: Prepare operational reports for management, auditors, and regulators as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
  • Prior experience working with institutional digital asset custody technologies such as Ledger or Fireblocks.

  • Experience working for a qualified and regulated custodian.

  • Strong appreciation for the level of maturity and ethics required for this role.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

  • 3-7 years of experience in financial operations, treasury operations, or banking; experience in digital assets or fintech strongly preferred.

  • A general understanding of cryptocurrency trading, custody, and/or blockchain fundamentals.

  • Experience with reconciliations and posting entries to core trust/banking systems and/or custody platforms.

  • A strong attention to details.

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across risk, compliance, technology, and client service teams.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following:
