Fire Sprinkler Inspector – Protect Commercial & Industrial Assets for Avalon Fire Protection


Job Overview:

  • Company: Avalon Fire Protection
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour (based on experience)
  • Location: Anaheim, CA
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Occasional overtime/weekends) (8 hour work day, start time varies)
  • Project Scope: Commercial & Industrial Tenant Improvements and Life Safety Inspections
  • Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Valid Driver's License, California Fire/Life Safety Certification or Sprinkler Fitter Certification preferred

You will serve as a core technical expert ensuring vital commercial and industrial systems remain fully code-compliant and operational. How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Execute rigorous inspections, testing, and maintenance of wet, dry, and pre-action fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems following NFPA guidelines.
  • Diagnose complex piping or pressure deficiencies and deliver high-quality repair solutions on active job sites.
  • Conduct detailed fire pump operational testing and hydrant flow checks, keeping meticulous digital records.
  • Perform tenant improvement projects efficiently while maintaining compliance with local fire codes.
  • Serve as a direct point of contact for clients, providing technical advice and fostering strong, long-term working relationships.
  • Maintain strict adherence to site safety protocols, including lift operation and fall protection procedures.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience performing fire sprinkler inspection, troubleshooting, and field repairs.
  • Thorough operational knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25 standards.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, technical diagnostic skills, and physical ability to work at heights or in tight spaces.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record and willingness to travel locally.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • NICET Certification in Water-Based Systems Layout or Inspection/Testing.
  • California Sprinkler Fitter Certification or Fire/Life Safety Certification.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 72 fire alarm system inspection, testing, and cross-functional troubleshooting.
