Job description

Who We Are
At Encore Fire Protection, we are proud to be the east coast's largest full-service fire protection company, serving over 90,000 customers from Maine to Louisiana. With a team of over 2,200 dedicated employees, we provide innovative, customized fire suppression, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm solutions that protect lives and properties every day.
Our goal is to deliver superior experience to those who trust us to safeguard what matters most. We are passionate about continuous growth, innovation, and maintaining a culture that thrives on success and commitment to safety. Our mission? To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.
The Opportunity
Do you bring order to chaos, stay steady when priorities shift, and enjoy getting a plan back on track? Are you the kind of leader who sets expectations clearly, protects quality, and earns buy-in without losing momentum? If you're the person people turn to for structure, decisions, and follow-through, you'll do well here.
We're looking for a Fire Sprinkler Project Manager to lead fire sprinkler installation projects from planning through closeout. You'll coordinate technicians, customers, and internal teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and within scope and budget. You'll also be the point person when conditions in the field change and a fast, practical decision is needed while ensuring compliance with NFPA 13 local AHJ requirements, and company safety standards.
Encore believes in hiring for attitude and training for skill, but this role requires a strong foundation in sprinkler. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of sprinkler systems, piping installation, construction sequencing, and field coordination, with the ability to manage multiple active sprinkler projects simultaneously. While the industry experience is a must, your background could be in the field, operations, design, sales, or leadership, as long as you know how to keep projects moving, people aligned, and have a real understanding of how work moves from estimate to execution.
Key Responsibilities
You'll be boots on the ground supporting the field, keeping the customer in the loop, managing priorities, and ensuring the plan still fits the reality on-site. From coordinating sprinkler fitters and foremen to managing materials, inspections, and customer expectations, you'll keep projects moving while adapting to the realities of an active construction site. You'll balance safety, schedule, quality, and profitability by:
  • Serving as the go-to resource for sprinkler foremen and field crews, helping troubleshoot issues and recommending practical next steps.
  • Owning customer communication, setting clear expectations, and resolving project questions quickly and professionally.
  • Building and maintaining schedules, coordinating resources, and adjusting plans as priorities shift.
  • Tracking progress against scope and timeline, escalating risks early, and clearing roadblocks that could slow production.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to align labor, materials, and deliverables to support the installation of wet, dry, preaction, standpipe and fire pump systems.
  • Partnering with sprinkler designers, fabrication teams, purchasing, and operations to ensure materials and shop drawings are available when needed.
  • Participating in site walks, job meetings, and inspections as needed to maintain momentum and strong relationships.
  • Representing Encore with professionalism when interacting with customers, vendors, and other partners.

What You Bring to the Table
  • At least three years of experience in a project-focused or field leadership role within sprinkler or related speciality trade; HVAC, Plumbing.
  • Working knowledge of basic contracts, scope language, and pricing concepts.
  • Ability to read and interpret sprinkler shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, construction plans, project specifications, and blueprints.
  • Ability to work at heights and lift at least 50 pounds as needed.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within your assigned area.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with sprinkler fitters, foremen, and customers.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple moving projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort using standard business tools such as email, spreadsheets, and basic project or scheduling systems.

What Makes You Stand Out
  • You have experience in sprinkler or a related specialty trade; HVAC, Plumbing.
  • You have familiarity with relevant fire protection and life safety requirements in your region: NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 20
  • You have prior experience with project management or scheduling software.
  • You have industry certifications or training related to construction, project management, or fire protection.

Salary commensurate with experience with opportunity for a results-driven bonus based on personal output and effectiveness in role. Expected salary range between $90,000 - $130,000
