Job description

Position Overview
Wiginton Fire Systems, an industry leader in fire protection, is seeking a motivated Fire Sprinkler Contract Sales Representative to join our Melbourne team. In this role, you'll identify and secure fire sprinkler projects while building long-term relationships with commercial clients, contractors, and developers. If you're a high-performing sales professional with a strong understanding of fire protection systems, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Tampa and surrounding markets.
  • Create and present an annual sales plan and adapt strategies based on market changes.
  • Evaluate leads, establish project fit, and formulate pricing strategies in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
  • Prepare proposals and estimates in compliance with company procedures and pricing guidelines.
  • Deliver professional sales presentations that highlight system features and company value.
  • Negotiate and close contracts that meet gross margin goals.
  • Attend pre-construction and client meetings to ensure a smooth hand-off and high-quality project execution.
  • Build strong client relationships through job site visits, communication, and responsiveness.
  • Monitor billing and assist with collections when necessary.
  • Follow up post-project to gauge satisfaction and identify future business opportunities.

Qualifications
Required:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, fire protection, or mechanical sales.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA standards, sprinkler design, and construction practices.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic estimating software.
  • Must be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to manage territory independently.

Preferred:
  • NICET Certification in Fire Sprinkler Layout & Design.
  • Experience with hydraulic calculation software.
  • Previous experience in fire sprinkler contracting or related field.
