This position will report to Fort Smith office, but working out of the Little Rock, Arkansas.
Fire Systems Technology, Inc., recently joined the Impact Fire Services team and is a subsidiary company of Impact Fire Services. Fire Systems Technology has been in business for over 22 years and provides fire protection services covering Arkansas, Southern Missouri, Southern Kansas, and Eastern Oklahoma. The company offers exceptional fire sprinkler installation, repairs, renovations, inspections, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems for over 20 years.
This position is considered a trainee who is learning the mechanics of sprinkler system installation. This position may be responsible for site clean-up, unloading, staging, and distributing work material to other employees at a job site. Position will also cut and thread pipe. May install and test fire sprinkler systems under the close guidance of a Sprinkler Fitter. Position receives guidance and direction regarding day-to-day work tasks from a Sprinkler Fitter. The Helper is also responsible for assisting in maintaining a clean, well-organized vehicle and ensuring a safe environment for his/herself, co-workers, and customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, and service fire sprinkler systems
  • Cut and thread pipe and manage material
  • Assist in the installation of valves, couplings, and other fittings
  • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment
  • Learn construction project skills, including reading blue prints

Qualifications:
  • Basic mechanical and math skills
  • Must exhibit the initiative to learn the skills of the trade
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
