Job description

Position Description:

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Assay Laboratory Technician at our Cortez Analytical Lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of ore samples, process samples, and exploration samples.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation of ore samples, process samples, and exploration samples
  • The technician will also be utilized in fire assay, wet laboratory, and operation of analytical instrumentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Six (6) months experience in an analytical laboratory preferred
  • Familiarity with chemicals and laboratory procedures preferred
  • Knowledge of computer operation required
  • Exemplary safety and attendance record required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without reasonable accommodations required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize a heavy workload required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers in a team environment required
  • The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.
