What is the Role:

We are looking for someone to drive DCG’s early stage crypto venture investments in the US, reporting to the Head of Venture Investments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the crypto venture landscape, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of end-to-end leadership of early stage crypto venture investments.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
  • Identify opportunities and run the investment process, including initial contact, commercial due diligence, presenting to the investment committee and working with the legal team on legal due diligence and deal documentation
  • Staying current on key trends in crypto across multiple markets (with a focus on the US) as well as anticipate, research and map new trends
  • Manage, grow, and maintain a deep network of relationships with top VCs, founders, builders and other industry players to stay at the cutting edge of crypto
  • Testing, measuring and iterating on alternative investment sourcing channels
  • Work with post-investment platform team to ensure DCG is value-add to portfolio companies in crypto
  • Build the DCG brand in crypto, leading relevant PR initiatives and raising our profile at events
What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree (finance, business, engineering or related field), advanced degree preferred
  • 6 – 10 years of relevant experience in early stage investing in crypto
  • Strong understanding of venture capital through prior experience as a VC investor or as a startup operator having raised from venture capital
  • Demonstrated interest in crypto; prior experience in fintech/crypto/AI plus
  • Early stage VC network (crypto, web2, fintech, AI) and very good at relationship building and management
  • Ability to build a broad network, learn quickly and keep on topic of emerging trends in a face-paced industry
