Job description

Why Socure?
Socure is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy - verifying 100% of good identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. The mission is big, the problems are complex, and the impact is felt by businesses, governments, and millions of people every day.
We hire people who want that level of responsibility. People who move fast, think critically, act like owners, and care deeply about solving customer problems with precision. If you want predictability or narrow scope, this won't be your place. If you want to help build the future of identity with a team that holds a high bar for itself - keep reading.
As a Senior Pre-Sales Solution Consultant, Fintech, you will be the primary technical point-of-contact throughout the sales cycle for fintech and payments prospects in the Fintech pod. You will be responsible for understanding client requirements, designing end-to-end onboarding and transaction risk workflows, and demonstrating how Socure's platform delivers measurable impact across conversion, fraud losses, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Data Science, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to run high-impact discovery, architect solutions, and lead proof-of-concepts that de-risk technical decisions and accelerate deal cycles.
You will also serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that complex model performance, data flows, and integration patterns are communicated clearly to executives, product leaders, and risk teams at our customers.
Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as the day-to-day technical expert for fintech and payments opportunities, partnering with Fintech Account Executive Directors as the primary pre-sales Solution Consultant for your territory and segment.
  • Lead discovery with prospects to deeply understand their business models (e.g., neobanks, BNPL, card issuing, sponsor banks), risk posture, regulatory constraints, and onboarding or transaction flows-then translate these into tailored Socure solution architectures.
  • Design end-to-end identity and fraud workflows across Socure's products including API integration patterns, decisioning logic, rules, and data orchestration.
  • Collaborate with Data Science to scope, design, and execute proof-of-concepts (POCs) and backtests for fintech prospects, defining success metrics, evaluation methodology, and governance; interpret results and present clear recommendations to both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Partner with Product and Product Marketing to funnel field insights from fintech deals-including emerging use cases (e.g., instant payouts, embedded finance, KYC/KYB, account takeover)-into roadmap discussions, solution patterns, and external thought leadership (blogs, webinars, whitepapers, conference content).
  • Participate in business development activities including building and delivering compelling demos, presenting solution recommendations, contributing to RFPs/RFIs, and helping construct statements of work (SOWs) and pricing scenarios that align technical scope with commercial structure.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders (CRO, CISO, CTO, Head of Risk/Compliance, Product leaders) by simplifying complex statistical and technical concepts-such as model performance, threshold strategies, swap sets, and regulatory implications-into actionable business decisions.
  • Partner with post-sales Solution Consultants, Customer Success, and Technical Project Managers to ensure smooth handoffs from pre- to post-sales, including documenting solution assumptions, success criteria, and implementation risks to protect value realization and retention.
  • Contribute to internal best practices for fintech solution design (playbooks, discovery templates, POC frameworks, exec-ready decks) and actively mentor junior or peer Solution Consultants, modeling Socure's embedded leadership competencies (continuous learning, effective communication, accountability, team development, decision making, managing change).
  • Stay ahead of fintech and payments industry trends, fraud and identity attack vectors, and evolving regulations impacting digital onboarding and money movement; use this knowledge to guide clients and influence internal strategy.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, math, economics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of professional experience, including at least 4+ years in a client-facing technical role such as solution consulting, sales engineering, professional services, or technical pre-sales within enterprise SaaS or data products.
  • Meaningful experience in fintech, payments, neobanking, lending, or sponsor banking environments-ideally with exposure to digital onboarding, KYC/KYB, transaction monitoring, or fraud/risk management workflows.
  • Demonstrated track record leading complex, multi-stakeholder pre-sales engagements end-to-end: discovery, solution design, demo strategy, POC/backtest design, success metrics definition, and technical close support.
  • Strong technical depth across modern SaaS and data architectures, including RESTful APIs, event-driven or batch data integrations, rules/decision engines, analytics, and familiarity with ML/DS-adjacent technologies.
  • Ability to synthesize complex statistical and technical information-such as model performance, lift curves, ROC/AUC, threshold optimization, or swap sets-into clear, business-oriented recommendations for risk, product, and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical audiences, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong executive presence; comfortable presenting to C-level and board-level stakeholders at high-growth fintechs and financial institutions.
  • Proven collaboration skills across Sales, Data Science, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, with the ability to influence without authority and drive alignment in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Socure-aligned leadership behaviors: continuous learning and improvement, effective and transparent communication, ownership and accountability for outcomes, mentoring and uplifting teammates, sound judgment under uncertainty, and adaptability through change.
  • Comfort operating in a high-growth, mission-driven company and willingness to travel (e.g., up to ~30%) to support key client meetings, workshops, and events, as needed.
