Job Description We are seeking a Software Engineer - Mobile Android Client III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in modern Android development, software architecture, performance optimization, and mobile application security and a proven ability to deliver secure, scalable, and customer-centric mobile banking experiences. Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, deploy, and support native Android applications across the SDLC. Build maintainable and scalable solutions using Kotlin, Jetpack, and modern Android frameworks. Deliver customer-facing features for digital banking including servicing, payments, transfers, alerts, authentication, and financial management. Collaborate with Product, UX, Architecture, and backend teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Perform software design, code analysis, reviews, and architecture assessments using MVVM and Clean Architecture. Develop reusable, modular, and testable components and address risk, technical debt, and performance bottlenecks. Design accessible UIs with Jetpack Compose and Material Design aligned to WCAG/ADA standards. Integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and implement security controls including biometrics, encryption, OAuth, and secure storage. Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and UI tests; support CI/CD practices. Monitor and optimize performance, memory usage, startup time, responsiveness, and crash rates; perform root cause analysis. Evaluate emerging mobile technologies and contribute to standards, governance, and roadmaps. Provide production support, documentation, incident response, and release management with cross-functional teams. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of Android application development experience. Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK. Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI development. Experience implementing RESTful API integrations; familiarity with GraphQL is valued. Solid understanding of MVVM and object-oriented design principles. Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger/Hilt or Koin. Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming. Proficiency with Git, source control, and Agile development methodologies. Experience with automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines using JUnit, Mockito/MockK, Espresso, and Robolectric. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in mobile banking, fintech, or other regulated financial applications. Experience with GraphQL APIs.
