Job description

Job Summary:
Deloitte is a global leader in professional services, and they are seeking a Cloud FinOps Analyst to contribute to their Cloud Services initiatives. The role involves managing cloud financial operations, creating dashboards, analyzing cloud costs, and collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient cloud resource management.
Responsibilities:
• transforming requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document
• contribute to the Deloitte Cloud Services (DCS) OneCloud platform and vision
• contribute day-to-day product development activities across design, development, delivery, and support along with planned projects
• Creating and maintaining FinOps dashboards and reports to track cloud costs, identify trends, and communicate insights to stakeholders
• Identify, analyze, and resolve Cloud billing and financial reports
• Analyzing cloud usage patterns and trends to identify areas for improvement and potential cost savings
• Provide inputs to create Agile user stories for product enhancements and operational excellence
• Provide technical support for custom multi-cloud provisioning platform and troubleshoot issues
• Create/manage knowledge documents and share lessons learned with team members
• Serve as technical lead for the FinOps tool
• Work closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams to align cloud usage with business objectives and budgets
• Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives
• Encourage collaborative efforts and camaraderie with all team members to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions
• Ensure efficient functioning of cloud resources and processing functions in accordance with security policies and best practices in cloud security
• Establishing and enforcing cloud cost governance policies, processes, and best practices
• Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements based on technology enhancements and user requirements/needs
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong understanding of FinOps concepts
• 5+ years' experience with cloud billing for GCP, Azure or AWS IaaS and PaaS services
• Strong analytical skills to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and develop predictive models for future spending.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues related to cloud cost management
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills to earn support of business leaders, technology leaders, colleagues, and vendor representatives
• Must have ability to work in fast paced environment, balance priorities and juggle multiple tasks at once
Preferred:
• FinOps practitioner certification
• Cloud certifications
• Experience using an iterative solution delivery, process, and tools such as Agile, Scrum, MS ADO, and/or Jira to develop software
• Experience with REST API architecture and development
