Millennium Corporation is hiring a Cyber Infrastructure Engineer in Orlando, FL. ALL candidates MUST have an active secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility to qualify for consideration.

Responsibilities include deploying hardware, infrastructure software, and application software within data center environments to ensure systems are installed and operating correctly. System components may include Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, routers, Dell blade servers, and NetApp storage solutions. Software technologies may include Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG), VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS), Red Hat Satellite, Single Sign-On (SSO), VMware vCenter, ESXi, NSX, as well as a variety of custom training applications, virtual machines, and containerized solutions. Selected engineer must be able to collaborate with a team of engineers to support the fielding, installation, configuration, and testing of Department of Defense training systems.

The selected engineer will assist with hardware and software deployments, system integration, and validation testing to verify proper functionality and compliance with design requirements. While comprehensive expertise across all technologies is not required upon hire, candidates should possess experience with relevant technologies, demonstrate strong technical aptitude, and be eager to learn. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with solid troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and the capacity to contribute to schedule adherence and proactively identify process improvements to enhance installation efficiency and overall team performance.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a technically demanding, hands-on engineering environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with large teams of engineers to deploy and support complex, data center-like environments.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies, software, and hardware platforms, and apply that knowledge in live field environments to install, configure, troubleshoot, and test systems.
  • Strong Linux system administration skills, including working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise technologies such as Identity Management (IdM), Satellite, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • Solid understanding of virtualization technologies, preferably VMware.
    • Environment is primarily built on Linux, VMware, and Red Hat enterprise products.
  • Experience utilizing scripting languages for automation, system administration, data collection, and reporting, including the ability to develop, debug, deploy, and maintain scripts.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized environments.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and the ability to make sound decisions in accordance with established security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to follow technical procedures, analyze unexpected results, and troubleshoot complex system issues.
  • Capability to learn, install, configure, and support custom training applications within sophisticated training environments.

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as computer science or information technology.

  • 10 years of experience Data Center Infrastructure Operations Engineer.
  • Must have either Security+ or CISSP Certification, and must be able to obtain missing certification within 6-months  
  • Recent proficient experience with VMWare vSphere and NSX products in a data center environment
  • Recent experience with NetAPP storage devices
  • Proficient in Ansible – Ansible is the primary automation tool to be used within this environment.
  • Use scripting languages for automation, administration, data collection and reporting. This job requires the ability to write, test, debug, deploy, and sustain scripts.
  • Ability to configuration manage, version control, and backup various scripts and work products created to execute and maintain the environment.
  • Experience with Automation in a Virtual Environment (Preferred experience in VMWare and Linux, Openshift, Kubernetes).

Desired Skills

  • Experience supporting offensive and/or defensive cyber training environments.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware vCenter, ESXi, and NSX.
  • Experience with F5 technologies is highly desirable.
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and administering Red Hat OpenShift and/or Kubernetes environments.
  • Experience with Red Hat enterprise services, including IdM, SSO, and Satellite.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and competing demands simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving integrated hardware and software platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
