Job Description

The Technical Product Portfolio Manager (Cloud & FinOps) is responsible for end-to-end product and financial management of assigned technology portfolios, partnering closely with engineering, finance, and business stakeholders to deliver market-ready capabilities aligned to enterprise strategy. This role combines product leadership, cloud financial stewardship (FinOps), and technical acumen to drive value, optimize cloud spend, and ensure disciplined execution across complex, multi-team initiatives, with a strong emphasis on AWS-based platforms and financial accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own strategic product management for assigned technical product lines in support of enterprise objectives

  • Partner with stakeholders to define, document, prioritize, and deliver product features and capabilities

  • Apply FinOps principles to improve cloud cost transparency, forecasting accuracy, and financial accountability

  • Collaborate with engineering and finance to promote cost-aware engineering and cloud optimization initiatives

  • Participate in budgeting and financial planning for technology portfolios, including CapEx/Opex management

  • Oversee monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and financial opportunity identification

  • Manage vendor financials, including SOWs, invoicing, and adherence to financial controls and business case standards

  • Prepare concise, executive-ready updates and summaries covering delivery progress, risks, and financial health

  • Tailor communications for portfolio reviews and strategic investment discussions to ensure clarity and actionability

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across product, engineering, business, finance, and vendor teams

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to portfolio managers, product managers, and agile teams

  • Promote delivery discipline, value measurement, and continuous improvement through coaching and playbooks

  • Partner with agile teams to ensure timely delivery of marketable capabilities aligned to product roadmaps

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience

  • 7+ years of experience in technology product, portfolio, or program management

  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-team initiatives with significant budget responsibility

  • Experience in financial planning and analysis for technology portfolios, including forecasting and variance resolution

  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and cross-functional delivery

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 and portfolio/product management tooling

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Foundational understanding of cloud technologies and architectures (AWS and/or Azure)

  • Practical knowledge of FinOps principles and exposure to cloud financial management tools

  • Experience aligning technical investment decisions with business metrics and KPIs

  • Ability to understand product technical architecture and the economics of technology investments

  • Strong collaboration skills with software engineering teams to execute product vision and roadmap

  • Experience developing reusable product and delivery playbooks

  • FinOps certification (FinOps.org)

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00
