Job description

Job Title: Sr Business Intelligence Analyst II

Department / Division: Amway North America Technology

Salary Range: $122,548 - $135,447

Location: Ada, MI (Hybrid)

What we're looking for:

We're hiring a Sr. Cloud FinOps Analyst (Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst) to help us operationalize the FinOps Foundation framework at Amway - turning cloud spend data into timely, data-driven decisions and real savings. This is a hands-on senior IC role for someone who is comfortable sitting between engineers and finance partners, and who gets energy from finding waste, building the case to act on it, and seeing it through.

You will work closely with the Cloud FinOps team and partner regularly with Cloud Governance, engineering product teams, and Finance, with real room to shape how we forecast, allocate, and optimize cloud investment going forward.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Optimize cloud spend across AWS and GCP by identifying trends, anomalies, and savings opportunities—and partnering with engineering teams to bring those solutions to life
  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, and leadership to drive smart, data-informed decisions and improve overall cloud efficiency
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting (e.g., AWS QuickSight) to track cloud usage, performance, and cost trends, and keep stakeholders informed
  • Work with cloud providers on cost optimization, capacity planning, contract strategies, and adoption of new technologies
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on cloud cost management best practices, governance, and FinOps maturity
  • Translate complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and business cases (e.g., unit economics, forecasts)
  • Own cloud cost reporting cadence, including monthly reviews, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting in partnership with finance
  • Support and evolve cost optimization programs (e.g., Reserved/Spot Instances, tagging compliance, cost allocation)
  • Drive a culture of cost awareness by helping teams understand and take ownership of cloud usage and efficiency
  • Contribute to the Cloud FinOps roadmap and help mature practices aligned to FinOps frameworks (Inform, Optimize, Operate)
  • Leverage tools and emerging technologies (including AI) to streamline reporting, detect anomalies, and uncover new optimization opportunities

Travel: Occasional travel for conferences and team collaboration

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field + 5+ years of relevant experience
  • OR 10+ years of equivalent professional experience
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Proven experience analyzing complex datasets and communicating insights to stakeholders

Skills to Be Successful in the Role:

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Business acumen and understanding of financial implications of technical decisions
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and driving change across teams
  • Adaptability and comfort with ambiguity in evolving environments
  • Collaboration skills and ability to work across global, cross-functional teams
  • Project management and prioritization capabilities

What's Special About this Team

This is a lean, high-impact team responsible for managing and optimizing a multi-million-dollar cloud investment. The team operates with a strong sense of partnership, collaboration, and shared ownership.

  • You’ll work closely with senior leaders and have visible impact on strategic decisions
  • The team values how work gets done—prioritizing collaboration, respect, and continuous learning
  • Leadership emphasizes empowerment, offering guidance while encouraging autonomy
  • You’ll join a culture that supports experimentation, growth, and expanding your skillset
