Located 15 minutes from Chapel Hill, our property is one of the original Relais & Chateaux destinations in North America since 1980, complete with an award-winning fine-dining restaurant, luxury 32-room inn, spa, boutique shops, a beer and pizza garden, events spaces, and one of the state’s last remaining independent bookstores.

The Fearrington House Restaurant is a Relais & Châteaux property known for refined hospitality, thoughtful service, and an exceptional dining experience in a countryside setting just outside Chapel Hill. Our team is dedicated to creating memorable moments for every guest, from arrival to departure.

Position Summary
We are seeking a warm, polished, and highly organized Evening Host to join our front-of-house team. As the first and last impression of the restaurant, the host plays a key role in setting the tone for each guest’s experience.

This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys hospitality, thrives in an elegant environment, and values attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival

  • Manage reservations and seating flow with precision and care

  • Maintain clear communication with servers and management to ensure smooth service

  • Escort guests to tables and provide thoughtful introductions to the dining experience

  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and phone calls with professionalism

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area

  • Create a gracious and welcoming atmosphere throughout the evening
