SUMMARY The Technical Writer develops, writes, and edits product manuals, procedures, and other technical documents for NBE equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Communicates, via text and graphics, technical procedures and information used by owners, users, and integrators of NBE equipment.
  • Interviews production, engineering personnel, and service personnel to become knowledgeable with controls functionality, maintenance, troubleshooting, safety, installation, and operation of the equipment.
  • Reviews manufacturer documentation, drawings, and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment.
  • Studies engineering drawings, schematics, parts lists, specifications, and engineering data to produce an accurate, complete, comprehensive manual for the equipment.
  • Creates appropriate graphics for procedures using graphics software and 3D mechanical design software and lays out graphics and text using publishing software.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree (B. S. / B. A.) from four-year college or university required.
  • 2+ years related experience and/or training required.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on InDesign, required.
