Job description

The Platform team creates the technology that enables Spotify to learn quickly and scale easily, enabling rapid growth in our users and our business around the globe. Spanning many disciplines, we work to make the business work; creating the infrastructure, tooling, frameworks, and capabilities needed to welcome a billion customers.

Want to be part of a billion-dollar business running some of the biggest SaaS installations globally? Spotify is looking for a Systems Manager to lead our Financial Systems Functional Analysis team - a talented group of Functional Analysts and quality specialists responsible for shaping, delivering, and assuring the financial solutions that underpin Spotify's global business.

You'll join the FinE Alliance within the Platform Mission, partnering closely with Finance teams across Controllership, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Procurement, and Payroll, as well as Engineering and Operations peers across Financial Engineering. This is a highly collaborative leadership role where you'll help scale our financial systems capability, drive operational excellence, and enable Spotify's continued global growth through modern SaaS and engineered solutions.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, develop, and support a team of Functional Analysts and quality specialists, creating an environment focused on delivery excellence, growth, and collaboration.

  • Own the delivery lifecycle for finance-domain initiatives, from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, stakeholder sign-off, and operational handover.

  • Set the standard for high-quality Functional Analysis across the team, including requirements documentation, solution design, vendor engagement, stakeholder management, and operational readiness.

  • Partner closely with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure seamless delivery across a hybrid SaaS and custom-built ERP ecosystem.

  • Drive strategic initiatives supporting Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Tax, Treasury, and related global finance processes.

  • Shape solution architecture decisions for complex, cross-functional financial systems initiatives with high business visibility and impact.

  • Foster analytical excellence and act as a trusted bridge between Finance stakeholders and technical teams.

  • Manage vendor relationships across the systems portfolio, including roadmap discussions, escalations, contract reviews, and vendor performance management.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including opportunities to leverage automation and Generative AI to improve team scalability and delivery efficiency.

  • Define and track team KPIs, delivery metrics, and operational performance indicators to guide prioritization and resourcing decisions.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex finance systems issues, stakeholder concerns, and vendor-related challenges.

  • Support SOX and ITGC compliance activities, audit readiness, and change management processes across the systems your team delivers and operates.

Who You Are
  • You have 8+ years of experience in financial systems delivery, functional analysis, or enterprise applications within large-scale ERP environments such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Workday, or similar platforms.

  • You have 5+ years of people management experience and a strong track record of hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing analysts across multiple seniority levels.

  • You are an experienced coach and mentor who genuinely enjoys helping people grow and succeed.

  • You have led complex finance systems initiatives end-to-end, including requirements gathering, stakeholder alignment, configuration, testing, deployment, and operational adoption.

  • You have deep functional knowledge across enterprise finance processes including Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Order-to-Cash (OTC), Record-to-Report (RTR), Tax, and Treasury operations.

  • You are experienced partnering with senior stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, Tax, Treasury, and FP&A functions in global organizations.

  • You have experience managing SaaS vendor relationships, including roadmap planning, escalations, and contract-related discussions.

  • You understand SOX frameworks and IT General Controls as they relate to ERP and SaaS change management and audit readiness.

  • You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and translating high-level business goals into practical team priorities and delivery plans.

  • You communicate clearly and transparently, building trust across teams and stakeholders.

  • You are experienced working within Agile environments and using tools such as Jira for delivery tracking and prioritization.

  • You bring strong judgment, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset to solving complex operational problems.

  • You have experience working with or exploring Generative AI capabilities to improve delivery effectiveness and operational scale.

  • You have experience supporting both project delivery and operational systems administration responsibilities within a single team environment.

  • You may have an accounting qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional

Where You'll Be
