Job description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) within the Financial Management Directorate and FM Business Solutions Office (FMZ). In this role, you will help modernize and optimize enterprise financial systems that enable NGA's global intelligence mission. You will work at the intersection of financial management, data analytics, and systems engineering, supporting the planning, analysis, and execution of financial data solutions across the enterprise. Your expertise will directly improve the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of NGA's financial operations-supporting mission-critical decision making at the highest levels. Key Responsibilities As part of the FMZ team, you will: Financial Systems & Operations Support * Support the Financial Management Directorate and FM Business Solutions Office (FMZ) in day-to-day financial operations.
  • Monitor and coordinate program resource allocations across the enterprise.
  • Support government representatives at meetings, reviews, and technical exchanges.
  • Support and enhance Geospatial Intelligence Financials (GEO-F) and Organization Requirements and Budgeting Information Tool (ORBIT) systems.
  • Apply deep understanding of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
Develop and validate financial system requirements aligned to mission needs. Data Analytics & Automation Design and implement automated solutions to financial data challenges using: * VBA
  • SQL / SQL Server
  • Microsoft Access
Microsoft Excel Perform advanced data analysis to improve financial reporting, data integrity, and process efficiency.
Support quarterly budget authority loading and financial data reconciliation. Requirements Analysis & Process Improvement Lead research efforts and stakeholder interviews to document: * Business processes

Current system gaps and inefficiencies Analyze relationships between financial processes, data sources, and reporting requirements to recommend effective solutions.
Support the development and implementation of system enhancements for GEO-F and ORBIT. Systems Engineering & Governance Coordinate and participate in: * System engineering and technical exchange meetings

Contribute to resolving architectural, interoperability, and policy issues related to financial systems. Qualifications Active TS/SCI
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a business-related field (e.g., Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management).
8 years of specialized experience, including: 2+ years developing automated financial solutions using VBA, SQL, SQL Server, Microsoft Access, and Excel.
  • 2+ years supporting Momentum financial system software development (requirements, configuration management, or system testing).
  • 2+ years communicating Momentum technical issues clearly in writing and verbally.
2+ years supporting Momentum-based system implementations, upgrades, or enhancements. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Desired Qualifications PMP Certification.
  • 4+ years of experience with NGA business processes, financial data, reports, and information.
  • 4+ years of experience with internal controls methodologies.
  • 4+ years of experience with federal financial management execution policies and business processes within the IC or DoD.
Working knowledge of: United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL)
