What you'll do
As a Quality Coordinator, you will own the quality and food safety programs across Hi-Pro Feeds USA locations, ensuring products and manufacturing processes meet customer expectations, Nutreco standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements. Working closely with Operations, Sales, Nutrition, Procurement, Customer Service, HSE, Finance, and Laboratory teams, you will coordinate quality assurance and quality control activities, conduct audits and inspections, coordinate laboratory testing programs, investigate quality issues, administer mock recalls and recalls, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Who we're looking for
You are a detail-oriented and proactive quality professional who enjoys problem-solving, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You take ownership of challenges, seek answers independently, and build trusted relationships with colleagues and customers. Whether conducting audits, investigating non-conformances, reviewing suppliers, or managing quality systems, you are committed to maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement. You'll also need
  • Diploma or degree in Animal Science, Food Science, Agricultural Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of QA/QC or related experience
  • Knowledge of livestock nutrition, food safety, feed milling, manufacturing, or agriculture is an asset
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Strong math skills and understanding of the metric system
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to learn
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 10% between locations
