Job description

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Financial Planning Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you will support financial planning operations, manage client data with precision, and help prepare for client and prospect meetings, including timely and thorough follow-up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and update client review meeting materials, demonstrating proficiency in Excel and a solid understanding of financial planning fundamentals.
  • Support post-meeting follow-up by maintaining accurate client notes and diligently tracking all action items to completion.
  • Drive plan action items to completion in alignment with our service standards, debriefing with the advisor as needed.
  • Collaborate with team Client Service Representatives (CSRs) to address client service requests and reinforce the firm's service model.
  • Master and actively utilize Keel Point's technology platforms, including Orion, Wealthscape, Wealthbox, MoneyGuidePro, and RightCapital.
  • Generate performance and asset allocation reports to support thorough and timely client reviews.
  • Coordinate client and prospect scheduling and communications to ensure a seamless and professional experience.
  • Enter and maintain client data across multiple software platforms, upholding high standards of accuracy and completeness.
  • Organize and manage client files with strict attention to confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Contribute to team initiatives such as tax season support and client appreciation efforts, and assist with additional duties as assigned.

FUTURE EXPECTATIONS

  • Build the financial planning expertise needed to develop and present comprehensive financial plans independently.
  • Sharpen analytical skills by constructing customized financial plans and forward-looking projections.
  • Expand knowledge of investment vehicles, strategies, and portfolio management principles.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree is required with a focus in finance preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the financial industry, or internship/college experience in the wealth management/planning field.
  • Effective organizational and communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong focus on customer service skills and ability to multi-task in both a team setting and independently
  • Knowledge or experience using AI for research purposes is preferred.
