Job Summary:
The Strategic Planning Analyst Intern will work with key members of Zoltek Sales team. Zoltek is one of the worldโ€™s largest manufacturers of carbon fiber and supports a fast-growing business in advanced materials. This position will work closely with Sales leadership in developing strategy and supporting short-term and long-term business planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives
  • Analyze cost, pricing, and profitability trends of key products, and provide insights to support business decisions and drive sales strategy
  • Develop and monitor industry, customer, and competitive analysis for the business
  • Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and dashboards for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and validate assumptions.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and benchmarking to identify growth opportunities.
  • Synthesize data into comprehensive, yet concise, actionable insights
Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field required
  • Masterโ€™s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
  • Minimum of 3โ€“5 years of experience in analytics, strategy, sales and marketing, or finance
  • Prior experience in the chemicals, materials, or a related industrial industry strongly preferred
  • Strong problemโ€‘solving mindset with a handsโ€‘on, resultsโ€‘oriented approach
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fastโ€‘paced environment with fluid timelines
  • Comfortable navigating complex and ambiguous situations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Selfโ€‘starter with a high degree of intellectual honesty and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to โ€œroll up sleevesโ€ and drive work to completion
