The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) plays a key role in driving operational performance through strong financial insight, regional businessunit partnership, and decision support. The role works closely with leaders across the organization to provide analysis and planning that inform strategic initiatives and support effective execution. Reporting into divisional leadership for CARFAX, the Director collaborates with operational and functional partners to ensure financial plans, forecasts, and reporting reflect both organizational priorities and ontheground realities. The Director also leads a small FP&A team, strengthening analytical capabilities and supporting highquality financial processes across the regional business unit.

What you'll be doing:
Financial Planning, Forecasting & Insight
Lead the development of businessunit budgets, forecasts, and financial plans that reflect operational priorities and organizational objectives.
Insights, Trends & Risk Analysis
Monitor financial and operational results, identify key drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide proactive guidance to regional businessunit and divisional leadership.
Business Partnership & Decision Support
Serve as the primary finance partner to businessunit leaders, delivering analysis and recommendations that support pricing, cost structure, headcount planning, and investment decisions. Partner with leadership to develop business cases and financial evaluations that support strategic initiatives, capital investments, and growth opportunities.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop a small FP&A team, strengthening analytical capabilities, businesspartnership skills, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Reporting & Financial Communication
Prepare clear, timely financial reporting for the business unit and communicate results, insights, and recommendations to divisional leadership.
Process & System Improvement
Enhance planning, reporting, and analytics processes and tools to improve efficiency, scalability, and data integrity. Drive transformational system improvements and support the first-time implementation of enterprise-level cloud-based performance measurement and planning tools.
What we're looking for:
Education & Experience
  • Education in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8-12+ years of progressive FP&A or related finance experience, including support of an operational area or P&L
  • Experience leading or mentoring small teams, particularly while building new processes and/or during times of transformational change
  • Experience working with cloud-based, enterprise-level (Tier 1) planning tools is required; experience with first-time implementation of these planning tools is a further asset
Technical Skills
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities
  • Proficiency with Excel and enterprise-level financial planning/consolidation tools; experience with PowerBI, SQL, or other analytics tools is an asset
  • Ability to interpret financial results and connect business decisions to P&L impacts
