Job description

Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Senior Financial Manager to provide advanced financial oversight, SAP project management, and support for financial systems within the RDT&E Engineering and Technical Support (RETS) program.  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level SAP project management, including system integration support, financial data analysis, and liaison activities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Support and manage financial systems including AF SAP CORE, Capability Viewpoint 2 (CV2), and SAFES, ensuring compliance with Air Force and DoD financial policies.
  • Lead financial oversight and stakeholder communications for large-scale technology programs exceeding $100M, including design, manufacturing, integration, and testing phases.
  • Apply SAF/FMBIB policies, procedures, and standards to financial planning, execution, and reporting processes.
  • Conduct financial analysis, statistical evaluations, and reporting to support program decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain financial documentation, budget forecasts, and execution reports to ensure compliance with DoD and Air Force comptroller guidance.
  • Coordinate with program offices and stakeholders to ensure proper financial tracking, audit readiness, and accountability across programs.
  • Support financial audits, reporting requirements, and continuous process improvements for financial systems and operations.
Qualifications

15+ years of SAP project management, project liaison, and statistical analysis experience.  8 years experience supporting AF SAP CORE, CV2, and SAFES systems.  10 years experience managing financial oversight and stakeholder communications for large-scale technology programs exceeding $100M covering design, manufacturing, integration, and testing.  5 years experience applying policies, procedures, and standards from Secretary of the Air Force/Financial Management, Investment and Budget Branch (SAF/FMBIB) or leading a portfolio of technology development programs.  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study; Master's degree preferred.  Must have strong knowledge of DoD and Air Force financial management practices, systems, and compliance requirements.  Able to analyze complex financial data, support decision-making, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI) and SAP eligibility.
