Position Summary:

The Financial/Operations Analyst assists in identifying opportunities to increase revenue, reduce operating expenses and improve profitability in the organization. The analyst will work closely with the administration to evaluate and strategize business planning and opportunities based on financial and operational analyses.

The Financial Analyst provides divisional analysis and support and the development of business plans, workflow analyses, and operating metrics for each division. In addition, it is responsible for report writing, analysis, and maintenance for physician compensation modeling and incentive compensation calculations.


Key Results Areas (KRAs):

ยท Support all levels of decision-makers and other stakeholders with financial information requests and financial modelling

ยท Obtain a thorough understanding of clinical department operations by providing financial insight into process improvement projects and through recurring interaction with operational teams

ยท Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other financial reporting processes and review Departmental budget variances in monthly MOR meetings

ยท Analyze complex financial information/reports for performance, trends, and variances

ยท Consolidate data from EPIC platform, UCHโ€™s BI tools, other financial systems, and third-party data sources (MGMA, AAMC, etc) to build models to help clinical, operational and Corporate leaders make data-driven decisions

ยท Monitor and continually improve BI softeware tools, dashboard reporting, and other information tools

ยท Collaborate with the Finance, Accounting, Revenue Services teams and all Operational areas

ยท Model potential business development opportunities

ยท Provide insight and recommendations for cost-saving procedural changes

ยท Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual physician payouts and other provider compensation changes for payroll processing

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

ยท Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Public Health, or a related field required

ยท Masterโ€™s of Business Administration (MBA), Public Health, Economics, or Healthcare Administration preferred

ยท 5+ years professional experience in corporate finance required; healthcare background strongly preferred

ยท Previous work experience in statistical and data analytics required, preferably in healthcare

ยท Expert in MS Excel, relevant accounting software platforms, and business intelligence tools; prior experience in relational databases a plus

ยท Advanced in other MS Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
