Location: Tualatin OR or Albany OR

Schedule: Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Salary range: $85K to $95K per year

Shields Mfg (SMI) and Viper Northwest (VIP) are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial operations across both West Coast sites. This individual will play a key role in developing and preparing reporting related to financial operations, costing, and profitability. They will facilitate a deeper insight into business performance by utilizing systems and developing analytical tools, and will assist with financial planning, month-end close, and financial and inventory audits. This is an on-site, in either Tualatin, OR or Albany, OR with the potential for occasional travel.

Reports To: FPA Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze company financial records, including general ledger entries, job cost, variance to standards, and other key data; verify accuracy and present findings to the leadership team.
  • Assist with financial planning for both sites, including monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, including completing monthly reconciliations of revenue and inventory, and completing journal entries (JEs) for specific P&L accounts.
  • Prepare and analyze month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reports; present findings to the leadership team.
  • Manage the capital expenditure (CapEx) process at both sites, including maintaining the capital project log and reporting capital spend and variance to budget to key stakeholders.
  • Develop tools and models to facilitate deeper insight into business performance; assist in developing, modifying, and updating financial models.
  • Work cross-functionally on ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with financial audits of company accounts.
  • Periodic travel may be required for training, audits, or project work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance
  • At least three (3) years of experience in accounting and finance.
  • Experience working in manufacturing cost accounting is strongly desired.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, general ledgers, and key financial statements.
  • Experience with Syteline ERP systems preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain positive inter-department relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to organize and efficiently analyze multiple data sets and communicate the โ€œstoryโ€ behind the numbers.

  • Must be able to multi-task and think of the โ€œbig pictureโ€ while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
