Job Overview

General Position SummaryThe Financial Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing front-end onboarding workflows and post-booking financial operations for MMP Capital. This role supports the full lifecycle of booked transactions, including payment file management, cash application, billing reconciliation, financial adjustments, fee billing, partner funding, servicing operations support, and operational reporting.This position will play a key role in strengthening MMP Capital’s finance operations infrastructure as the company brings more servicing capabilities in-house, improves data quality, enhances reconciliation controls, and expands reporting around portfolio performance, cash movement, and operational SLAs.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with a lease or loan management system and understands how booking, servicing, cash application, billing, contract modifications, and operational reporting connect across Finance, Operations, Credit, Sales, Collections, and Technology.Essential Functions and Major ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations and Servicing Support• Manage daily financial operations workflows related to booked transactions, servicing activity, cash application, customer account updates, and payment processing.• Post and reconcile customer payments, including ACH, wires, contract billing activity, payment exceptions, reversals, and adjustments.• Oversee daily payment file processes, including ACH/NACHA files, payment application, exception handling, and reconciliation back to bank activity and servicing records.• Support contract billing reconciliation and ensure customer-level activity is accurately reflected in the lease or loan management system.• Process financial adjustments, including payment corrections, price changes, term changes, funding changes, contract restructures, and other approved account updates.• Manage daily cash funding processes for ISO, vendor, broker, business partner, and internal funding-related workflows.• Support post-booking operational activities, including disposition activity, fee billing, contract updates, and servicing requests.Lease / Loan Management System Ownership• Required experience: Candidate should have experience using, administering, or managing workflows within a lease management system, loan management system, or commercial finance servicing platform.• Serve as a key operational owner for the lease / loan management system and help ensure booking, billing, payment, and servicing data is accurate and complete.• Partner with Technology, Finance, Credit, Funding, Collections, and Servicing to improve system workflows, data fields, reporting, controls, and exception management.• Experience with LTi Aspire, Abrigo, IFS LeaseWorks, Salesforce, or similar commercial finance platforms is strongly preferred.• Support system implementation, migration, testing, user acceptance testing, and process documentation related to servicing or LMS-related initiatives.Team Management and Process Controls• Distribute work across the Financial Operations team and ensure tasks are completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with defined SLAs.• Monitor high-priority requests, aging items, open exceptions, and operational bottlenecks to ensure timely resolution.• Create, update, and maintain standard operating procedures, training materials, and workflow documentation.• Train new and existing team members on financial operations processes, system updates, reporting tools, and internal controls.• Maintain a strong control environment around cash application, account updates, financial adjustments, fee billing, and system changes.Cross-Functional Coordination• Serve as a liaison between Finance, Funding, Customer Service, Collections, Onboarding, Credit, Relationship Management, Sales, and Technology.• Review and resolve issues raised by Customer Service, Onboarding, Collections, Relationship Managers, and other business teams.• Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide operational input, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements.• Interact with external clients, partners, vendors, servicers, and technology providers as needed to resolve operational or reporting issues.Reporting, Analytics, and Business Intelligence• Develop and maintain operational reporting, including business performance KPIs, SLA reporting, fee reporting, funding activity, payment exceptions, cash application metrics, and servicing performance dashboards.• Analyze production trends, workflow volume, exception rates, aging items, and operational results to support business decisions.• Build customized reporting tools and data views to support Finance, Operations, Credit, Risk, Sales, and Executive Management.• Work with Technology and data teams to improve reporting accuracy, system data integrity, automation, and operational visibility.• Help the business use actionable reporting to make better decisions around risk, pricing, profitability, staffing, process improvement, and client experience.Confidentiality and Professional Standards• Maintain confidentiality regarding company policies, procedures, employee information, customer information, financial records, and other sensitive business data.• Demonstrate a high level of accountability, reliability, discretion, and professional judgment.• Perform other duties within the scope and ability of the position as directed by management.Specific Job Skills• Strong cash application, reconciliation, billing, and post-booking servicing experience in a lease, loan, equipment finance, working capital, or commercial finance environment.• Hands-on experience with lease or loan management systems; LTi Aspire, Abrigo, IFS LeaseWorks, Salesforce, or similar commercial finance platforms is strongly preferred.• Strong understanding of payment files, ACH/NACHA processes, bank reconciliation, contract billing, account adjustments, and servicing operations.• Ability to manage operational workflows, prioritize high-volume work, monitor SLAs, and resolve time-sensitive issues.• Strong analytical, reporting, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.• Ability to create reporting tools, dashboards, reconciliations, and business analytics using Excel and other reporting platforms.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to train users, document procedures, and communicate across departments.• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to support internal teams and external clients professionally.• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.• Demonstrated accountability, reliability, and ability to manage or support an operational team.Systems Experience• Lease / loan management or servicing systems: LTi Aspire, Abrigo, IFS LeaseWorks, Salesforce, or similar commercial finance platforms is strongly preferred.• Salesforce or other CRM / workflow platforms.• Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations, and reporting models.• Microsoft Access, Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting / analytics platforms preferred.• Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and related Microsoft Office tools.• Accounting or ERP system experience, including Business Central or similar platforms preferred.Education and Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Operations, or a related field preferred.• Prior experience in B2B lending, equipment finance, leasing, commercial finance, specialty finance, working capital, or related financial services environment preferred.• Experience managing or supporting financial operations, servicing operations, cash application, payment operations, or loan / lease operations required.• Prior experience managing people, workflows, SLAs, or operational teams preferred.• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with Finance, Operations, Sales, Credit, Technology, and Executive Management.Job Conditions• This position operates in a high-volume environment and requires a productive work schedule that may fluctuate based on business needs, deadlines, payroll cycles, funding activity, month-end close, and servicing requirements.• The role may Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily financial operations workflows including payment processing, cash application, billing reconciliation, and post-booking servicing activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee and administer the lease or loan management system, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve workflows, data integrity, and reporting capabilities.
  • Lead and develop the Financial Operations team by distributing tasks, monitoring performance against SLAs, and maintaining robust control procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to resolve operational issues, improve processes, and ensure compliance with controls and standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze operational reports and dashboards to track KPIs, SLA adherence, and portfolio performance, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Support system implementation, testing, and documentation for servicing platform initiatives, ensuring seamless integration and user adoption.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professional standards while managing sensitive financial and customer data, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with lease or loan management systems such as LTi Aspire, Abrigo, IFS LeaseWorks, or Salesforce.
  • Proven experience managing financial operations, including cash application, billing, reconciliation, and post-booking servicing in a commercial finance environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, reporting tools, and data interpretation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  • Experience leading or supporting operational teams with a focus on process controls and SLAs.
Preferred Qualifications
