Job description

Financial Analyst / Future Finance Leader

Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

Are you looking for a role where you can combine financial analysis, business intelligence, and technology to drive better decision-making?

A growing organization is seeking a Financial Analyst to serve as a key partner between Finance, Operations, and Technology. This position offers the opportunity to work with leadership, influence business decisions through data, and help improve reporting, analytics, and financial processes across the organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys digging into data, identifying trends, solving business problems, and building reporting tools that help leaders make informed decisions.

What You'll Gain

  • Exposure to executive leadership and key business initiatives
  • Opportunity to influence budgeting, forecasting, and business planning
  • Hands-on experience with financial reporting, business intelligence, and ERP systems
  • Long-term career growth opportunities within finance, accounting, operations, and leadership functions
  • Stable organization with a strong track record of promoting talent from within
  • Collaborative culture that values initiative, curiosity, and continuous improvement
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, and company-supported development opportunities

Who We're Looking For

This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional who wants more than simply producing reports.

We're seeking a highly motivated, career-minded analyst who enjoys understanding how a business operates, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping leaders make better decisions through financial insight.

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Strong budgeting and forecasting experience
  • A solid accounting and financial reporting foundation
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Experience with Power BI, ERP systems, or business intelligence tools
  • A natural curiosity and desire to understand the "why" behind the numbers
  • A proactive, self-starter mentality with the confidence to take ownership of projects and drive results
  • Interest in long-term career growth within finance, accounting, operations, or leadership

This is a role for someone who wants to build a career, not simply fill a position. The organization has a strong history of promoting high-performing team members into larger leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages used by leadership teams
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools using Excel, Power BI, and other reporting platforms
  • Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
  • Assist with financial modeling, cost analysis, and operational performance reporting
  • Partner with leaders across multiple departments to gather, interpret, and communicate business insights
  • Improve reporting processes, data accuracy, and system utilization
  • Support month-end reporting and accounting-related analysis activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, or corporate finance
  • Advanced Excel skills including modeling, scenario analysis, and financial reporting
  • Experience with Power BI, D365, ERP systems, or similar reporting platforms
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and how operational activities impact financial performance
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and communicate recommendations to leadership
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and a continuous improvement mindset

Ideal Backgrounds

Candidates may come from:

  • Financial Analysis
  • FP&A
  • Business Intelligence
  • Cost Accounting
  • Corporate Finance
  • Manufacturing Finance
  • Data Analytics
  • ERP Reporting and Systems Analysis

Who Will Be Successful?

The ideal candidate is naturally curious, enjoys solving business problems, and can translate complex financial and operational data into meaningful insights. You enjoy working across departments, improving processes, and helping leaders make data-driven decisions.
